either a priest or a doctor, a showbiz career was not an option, at least until now.
Marc is trying out acting on TV for the first time, playing one of Roxanne Guinoo’s leading men in the new afternoon teleserye Ligaw na Bulaklak. While his family wasn’t against his decision to try acting, it was something that took them by surprise.
“My mother and brother really sheltered me from the showbiz world... I didn’t really know how important my mom was [in the showbiz industry], until I was in high school,” he reveals. “When this show came up, I told her about it and she was so calm [about the whole thing].”
Marc is proud that his mom fully supports him in whatever he takes on. He’s been a VJ for some years now as well as the vocalist for local band Kjwan. “I became a musician. Running around without my shirt, sweating, freaking out in front of people… That was the first time that she had to take in what I was doing,” he shares.
